Built in 1873, and designated a historic site in 1996, the hall has become the home of such resident groups as the Scugog Choral Sociatey, Borelian's Community Theatre, Millar Lights, a children's musical theatre group and a children's choir, Choral de Lites. It is also the site of an annual Professional Concert Series as well as summer theatre presentations, piano recitals, special concerts, weddings and graduations. Town Hall 1873 is dedicated to the training, promotion and presentation of both amateur and professional talent and is located at 302 Queen St. Port Perry.
This grand old building, an important part of our heritage, is in need of improvement and restoration. The 'Reaching for the Stars' Theatre Improvement Campaign is well under way in raising the funds required. This mission will be accomplished in as timely a manner as possible, with financial support of all levels of government, Town Hall 1873 and its Board Members, as well as with gifts in the form of donations and pledges from patrons and performers.

Borelians Theatre Group The Borelians of Port Perry, Ontario, are a fun loving community theatre group. We have been putting on shows in the Historic Town Hall since 1970. As amateurs we always strive for a good balance of quality shows and a chance for amateur actors and theatre crew to do their stuff. We are always ready to welcome new members and directors from around here or anywhere. We occasionally manage to get various professionals to come in and help us out! www.borelians.org
